The speaker in Sonnet 130 captures this idea and frames it in verse, "My mistress eyes are nothing like the sun / Coral is far more red than her lips red. " Sonnet 130 consisted of just these first twelve lines, which shows how he mocks the lady of the piece. However, we are then treated by the last two lines; "And yet, by heaven, I think my love as rare / As any she belied with false compare. Another wonderful thing about this book is the way words are translated into English. I often find that the English meanings given are easy to use and fit well in my attempts to translate Scripture, much more so than those given by Mounce's Analytical Lexicon. However, it can be significantly reduced still further by learning only the cognate roots.
